Holyoke Medical Center to hold Quit Smoking Program
Start the year off right and commit to quit!
Holyoke Medical Center will hold a "Quit Smoking Workshop," offering six one-hour classes designed to give attendees the information and support needed to get through one of the toughest and most important changes they can make in their life.
Each week the workshop will cover topics such as: choosing and sticking to a quit date, keeping motivated to remain smoke free, developing coping skills to manage the mental and physical feelings associated with quitting, looking at how to obtain medications to help you quit, and building supports. All classes are facilitated by the Holyoke Medical Center staff.
The workshop will be held on Mondays beginning on January 21, 2013 at 6 p.m. and will run through February 25, 2013 in the medical center's Auxiliary Conference Center. The cost of the full 6 weeks series is $30 and preregistration is required.
