Holyoke Medical Center Relocates Designated COVID Testing Area
HOLYOKE, MA – December 22, 2021 – Holyoke Medical Center has relocated the designated COVID-19 Testing site on the main campus of the hospital. The testing site is now located in the Auxiliary Conference Center.
People looking to be tested should follow the posted signage for directions, call the number listed on the parking signs from their car when they arrive at the hospital, and remain in their car until asked to enter the facility to be tested.
Test results currently take up to two to three days to be provided. Results can be accessed through our online patient portal as soon as the results are available.
“With the upcoming holidays and increase of Covid-19 infections in our community, we have seen a significant increase in the number of people seeking to be tested,” said Jon Gronbach, Laboratory Director for Holyoke Medical Center. “This new process is allowing us to provide more social distancing for all of our patients while those seeking to be tested remain comfortably in their own vehicles.”
COVID-19 testing is available at Holyoke Medical Center: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
PCR testing is currently unavailable at this location – Other molecular test results, which are approved by the state of Massachusetts, will be performed.
Please note: Routine outpatient COVID-19 testing will not be provided in the HMC Emergency Department. People looking to be tested for COVID-19 at Holyoke Medical Center should go to the HMC Auxiliary Conference Center during the above listed operating hours.
