Financial Assistance
If you are unable to pay your bill, financial assistance may be available, including but not limited to, MassHealth, the Premium Assistance Payment Program operated by the Health Connector, the Children’s Medical Security Plan, Health Safety Net, Medical Hardship and additional Holyoke Medical Center Financial Assistance.

Walk-in appointments may be available. Appointments are always encouraged.
Our Financial Assistance application is available below in both English and Spanish. For other languages, remote interpretive services are available for over 300+ languages.
Individuals eligible for Financial Assistance will not be charged more than the amounts generally billed for emergency or other medically-necessary care.
State Programs
If you live in Massachusetts, you may be able to get health insurance or help paying your health care bills through a state program like MassHealth, the Health Connector or Health Safety Net. Each program has different rules and income limits.

Discounts
If you do not have insurance, you may qualify for a discount. A paper application along with supporting documentation may be required. If your bills are for an emergency or medically necessary care, then you may be able to get a 54% discount if you do not qualify for any state programs. The discount amount will depend on your household income. If you qualify, you will not pay more than 46% of the total charges you owe. We update this amount each year. You have 240 days to apply for this once you receive a statement.
Discounts are for your hospital bill and for certain healthcare providers. Please see the provider listing at holyokehealth.com to see if your provider is covered.
Payment Plans
You may set up a payment plan for any bill you receive from us. We do not charge interest on payment plans.
