Anticoagulation Service
All it takes is a finger-stick to draw a drop of blood to find out your PT/INR, and to make sure your Warfarin dosage is correct.
Our highly skilled registered nurses maintain certification in Anticoagulation Therapy Management. They work closely with you and your physician to establish and maintain your prescribed blood level of your anticoagulation medication.
On the first visit, your nurse will take a thorough medical history, perform an initial evaluation, and begin to teach you how to live safely, and actively, with your anticoagulation therapy.
The Anticoagulation Service is located on the 1st floor in the Main Building on the Holyoke Medical Center campus. Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. A referral from your primary care provider is required. Please call us for an appointment at (413) 534-2834.
